Those of you who connect with me on social media know how much I love to travel, it has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager. About 20 years ago I was fortunate enough to spend two weeks in Israel and saw much of the country.
Israel is truly unique and filled with powerful history. It is very special to visit extraordinary places like old Jerusalem, the Western Wall, Masada and the Dead Sea.
So when I learned about the ICCM – The International Community for Chinese Medicine in Israel, I was intrigued. This combines two of my passions Chinese Medicine and exotic travel.
I was also happily surprised to find out that acupuncture is very popular in Israel. As a matter of fact it’s offered in every hospital in the country!
This led to me to connect with Elad Itzhakov, a practitioner of Chinese Medicine in Tel Aviv and Co-Owner of the ICCM. We had a lively discussion about the upcoming ICCM Congress this April in Tel Aviv, Israel. To find out more about ICCM and the Congress check out part one of my talk with Elad here. Or go to the ICCM website here.
Whether you’re interested in attending the ICCM Congress or learning a little more about the beautiful and historic sites in Israel, I think you’ll enjoy this video.
In part 2 of our discussion Elad and I talk about the trip many will take this April with ICCM. The tour features top attractions in Israel. Such as:
*Old Jerusalem – The city of Old Jerusalem is surrounded by a wall and it’s winding alleyways are filled with historic sites.
*The Wailing Wall (aka the Western Wall) – The last remaining wall of what was the Jewish Temple and is today the holiest site in the world for many people.
*An overnight stay at a Kibbutz – Watch the video if you don’t know what a Kibbutz is.
*A swim in the Dead Sea – One of the saltiest bodies of water on Earth. The Sea itself is dying so if you want to see it, go soon!
*A visit to the top of Masada – An ancient city atop a mountain which overlooks the Dead Sea. It is a place with a violent history dating back to 73 A.D.. Masada is a symbol of the last stand of Jewish rebels in the face of the Roman army.
*And of course there are the beautiful beaches of Tel Aviv.
Please watch, enjoy, share and comment.
